We went to New Orleans for my sister, Kirsten's, wedding. It was a fun but exhausting trip! I wanted to post a picture of the quilt that I made for her. It is called "Ice Cream Sandwich Quilt".

I can't show any pictures, but the big project that I have been working on for around 5 months is almost complete. Took it to the quilter today. Whew! Can't wait to see the final result and post a picture. We will be going to New Orleans in 2 weeks for my sister's wedding, and I'll post pictures after that.

I see that it has been ages since I posted something. But that doesn't mean that I haven't been sewing!
Here is the quilt that I made for Jeremiah Brennan, my new nephew:
It turned out pretty cute. It's a 16 patch and framed square quilt
And the really big quilt that I have been working on for months, is called "Hugs and Kisses". It is really big, but it is hard to tell in the picture. I made it for a friend. It was quite fiddly to make. My husband really loves it, but I am in No Hurry to make it anytime soon!

In honor of John's parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary, we travelled to Delaware to surprise them. We had a great time with lots of relatives dropping in to wish Larry and Nancy a happy anniversary. We celebrated with a fantastic meal at the Summerhouse in Rehoboath Beach. I decided to make a quilt for their anniversary. It is a blue and white delft quilt.

I recently finished 2 chemo quilts for friends that are currently going through chemo therapy.
This quilt is called "Box of Chocolates" and I absolutely love it!! I started it last year and then put it aside. When my friend Molly was diagnosed with colon cancer 2 months ago, I was looking for a quilt to make. I made one and really was not happy with it. My husband asked if there was something else I could make and I remembered this quilt was sitting in pieces. I had fresh resolve to finish it and I am so glad that I did!
This quilt was made with some bright jelly roll strips in a pattern called "Picnic Quilt". It came out bright, great and colorful! My friend from church was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year and it currently going through her second round of chemo. She was so surprised and appreciative.

I wanted to post some picture of the quilts that I put in the Swan Lake Quilt Show. These three are ones that I made this year. I also put in my Orange Peel Applique Quilt that I made last year. It was my first experience putting quilts in a show and volunteering. I enjoyed it, it was stressful, but still enjoyable.
